General Court of Audit (GCA) President Hussam Abdulmoshen Alangari led Saudi Arabia's delegation to the 21st meeting of the heads of audit bureaus in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held Monday in Doha, Qatar.The meeting focused on various topics aimed at strengthening cooperation and partnerships among audit bureaus in the Gulf countries, as well as between such entities and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the INTOSAI Development Initiative.Discussions included collaborative working guides and methodologies, such as the updated financial control manual (general guide) and the disaster and crisis audit guide.Additionally, they discussed training programs dedicated for the staff of audit bureaus in the GCC countries for 2024, including the GCA's training program on the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF) conducted in September.The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation and share experiences in audit among relevant entities in the GCC. It aims to improve the performance efficiency of these entities to achieve their respective goals and bolster the path of collaboration and joint efforts among brotherly nations.Source: Saudi Press Agency
