Royal Reserve Promotes Ecotourism at ADIHEX

The Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority opened its pavilion today at the 21st Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), which will take place from August 31 to September 8.The authority's pavilion aims to promote ecotourism, to establish the reserve as a global destination celebrated for its rich heritage and stunning natural beauty.Visitors will be informed of the reserve's success in restoring ecological balance, preserving the natural diversity of wildlife and vegetation, protecting heritage, and supporting and empowering the local community, an endeavor achieved through an interactive experience that draws from the depths of Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage, and reflects the authenticity of the local community and its creative traditional arts and crafts.The pavilion also introduces prominent tourism programs, such as the Northern Reserve, the first sustainable hunting reserve in Saudi Arabia, and the Husky Caravans, which offer a unique experienc e for individuals and families amidst nature and breathtaking landscapes. Camping activities and exceptional experiences, such as stargazing in the dark-sky, are highlighted.Besides promoting ecotourism and working to conserve the environment, the authority involves the local community, and raises awareness about the importance of preserving biodiversity and achieving sustainable development.The authority, the second-largest royal reserve, spanning 91,500 square kilometers, is home to more than 138 species of wildlife and over 179 plant species.
