Rabat - Fifty-two road sections out of 57 damaged by floods and torrential rains were reopened to traffic on Monday at 5 p.m., the Equipment and Water Ministry announced.The torrential rains that hammered several provinces on September 6-9 closed 57 road sections in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Al Haouz, Boulemane, Taroudant, Tinghir, Sidi Ifni, Chichaoua, Figuig, Tata, Zagora, Guelmim, Midelt and Ouarzazate, the ministry underlined in a press release.On September 6, the ministry's services urgently deployed nearly 200 people (engineers, technicians, vehicle drivers and workers) and more than 100 earthmoving machines (graders, loading machines, bulldozers and trucks)."The Equipment and Water Ministry remains mobilized to open, as soon as possible, the remaining road sections, notably national road n°10 between Bouarfa and Bouanan, and national road n°12 between Foum Zguid and Zagora', the ministry concluded.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
