The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) announced today in a press release that the Saudi Alimony Fund supports 29,000 families, including over 7,300 beneficiaries who started receiving support at the beginning of 2024."The Alimony Fund was established to promote financial stability for families and encourage social responsibility by ensuring court-ordered alimony payments are recovered," the MoJ stated.According to the release, the fund has streamlined the electronic process of disbursing maintenance payments, ensuring timely delivery to beneficiaries and simplifying everything, from application submission to receipt of funds.The ministry said that people eligible for support could apply online through the Nafaqah.sa platform.According to MoJ, payments are usually released within five business days if all requirements are met.
