An official source from the Ministry of Culture confirmed that the Ministry will play a firm role in the application of the law and take the necessary legal measures to control and correct the course of visual and other artistic and cultural content, in accordance with the values, ethics, customs and traditions of the Yemeni people, based on religious and moral controls that cannot be derogated from or imposed by any means whatsoever.
The source also confirmed, in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the freedom of creators should not be prejudiced and that the rights of famous "Youtubers" and other artists, actors and all content creators should be preserved, as required by the public interest.
"The Ministry of Culture has followed with interest the details of the campaign sponsored by a number of activists and writers on social media platforms entitled "????_?? ????", which is dedicated to criticizing the abusive content circulating in the channels of some content makers within YouTube and contrary to the values, ethics, culture and faith identity of our Yemeni people," the source said.
The source stated that while commending the various efforts undertaken, the Ministry at the same time thanks the great interaction with the campaign by many jealous and honourable Yemenis and others.
"The Ministry of Culture thanks all those who responded to the demands of the campaign from the content makers and deleted and modified the inappropriate content and apologized for what was previously published and promoted without awareness of the dangers of this.
The source expressed the Ministry's thanks to everyone who interacted with the campaign and solidarity with it. reiterates its call for the continued efforts of the campaign to be carried out in a positive manner, taking care not to offend the person of the creator of the content and not to depart from the dictates of the duties and reasons for preserving the values of religion and Koranic culture based on advocacy for good and the order of knowledge and observance of the right and in accordance with the legitimate and moral controls that seek to achieve the various best human and life interests of all groups and segments of society. "
