Brussels: The Head of the Border Guard, Major General Mohammed Al-Marhani, attended a high-level meeting in Brussels to discuss strategies for combating illegal immigration and enhancing cooperation in the fight against migrant smuggling and human trafficking. The meeting saw participation from representatives of the European Union, the United Nations Mission, and various international organizations.
According to Libyan News Agency, Major General Al-Marhani presented the ongoing efforts of the Border Guard in securing land borders and tackling transnational organized crime. He emphasized that these efforts have been bolstered by the support of the Minister of the Interior, which has played a crucial role in improving the agency's operational capabilities and overall security efficiency.
Major General Al-Marhani highlighted the agency's commitment to a comprehensive security strategy that focuses on strengthening border control.
