Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prepares for Key Workshop on Libyan-Italian Relations


Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened a preparatory meeting today to organize an upcoming workshop titled “Libyan-Italian Relations: Towards a Comprehensive and Sustainable Cooperation Model.” This meeting involved a group of specialists and experts in foreign policy, international cooperation, and development.

According to Libyan News Agency, the workshop is set to redefine the frameworks of bilateral cooperation between Libya and Italy. The goal is to achieve common interests and enhance opportunities for sustainable development, all within the context of evolving regional and international dynamics.

The discussions at the preparatory meeting covered a range of topics, including the development of cooperation mechanisms in the economic, energy, education, and cultural sectors. There was also an emphasis on attracting academic and professional expertise from both nations. Additionally, the meeting reviewed organizational and logistical aspects, such as coordination with sponsoring and supportin
g entities, and the mechanisms for invitation and participation.

Committee members highlighted the importance of the workshop in producing practical and implementable recommendations. These recommendations aim to build genuine and sustainable partnerships between Libyan and Italian institutions and support cooperation across several vital sectors.

To ensure thorough preparation and execution, the committee agreed to form sub-working groups responsible for overseeing organizational and scientific aspects. A timetable for upcoming meetings was also established to ensure the workshop is conducted effectively, reflecting its significance and objectives.
