Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, emphasized the urgent need to implement a series of reform measures aimed at enhancing transparency and financial discipline. These measures are particularly focused on tightening oversight of the performance of sovereign institutions within the oil and gas sectors to safeguard public funds and ensure the rationalization of spending.

According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Menfi, during a meeting on Wednesday with members of the High Council of State representing the Fezzan region, reaffirmed his commitment to combating corruption. He stressed the importance of activating oversight frameworks and supporting relevant agencies, which he believes are essential steps in establishing the foundations of good governance and restoring citizens’ trust in state institutions.

This meeting is part of Al-Menfi’s ongoing consultations to address the latest political and economic developments in the country.
