Dhaka: The Libyan Ambassador to Bangladesh, Abdul Mutalib Suleiman, engaged in discussions with the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of the Republic of Bangladesh, focusing on enhancing cooperation between the two nations. The key topics on the agenda included addressing illegal immigration and several other shared issues.According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held in Dhaka, explored multiple strategies to strengthen and advance Libyan-Bangladeshi relations. Central to the discussions was the emphasis on continued coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest, as well as collaboration within the framework of the United Nations and its specialized agencies.The Libyan Ambassador expressed the Government of National Unity's support for the interim government's rebuilding initiatives in Bangladesh. He also conveyed hope for further strengthening of bilateral relations, particularly as the two countries approach the fiftieth anniversary of their diplomatic ties later this year.On b ehalf of Bangladesh, the Chairman of the Council of Advisors reiterated the government's commitment to collaborate with Libya in combating illegal immigration, underscoring the importance of preserving shared interests.
