Libya Reaffirms Peaceful Resolution Stance in Meeting with Iranian Ambassador

Tripoli:Al-Hassan Mohamed Rabha, Director of the Asia and Australia Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, hosted Iranian Ambassador to Libya, Einollah Souri, in Tripoli on Wednesday. During their meeting, Rabha reiterated Libya's firm stance that conflicts should be resolved solely through peaceful and diplomatic means.

According to Libyan News Agency, Rabha emphasized Libya's opposition to any violations against state sovereignty, specifically the targeting of Arab nations. He underscored the importance of all parties adhering to public international law.

Rabha also highlighted the historical ties between Libya and Iran. The discussion covered bilateral relations and international and regional issues of shared interest. Both parties agreed to continue communication and coordination to enhance bilateral cooperation and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The meeting saw attendance from Mirhadi Mousavi, First Secretary at the Iranian Embassy; Amer Khalifa Abridan, Head of the West and Central Asia Department at the Ministry; and Hamza Hamed Ahmida, responsible for the Libya-Iran relations portfolio.
