Addis Ababa: Libya’s Minister of Youth in the Government of National Unity, Fathallah Al-Zani, is set to participate in the African Youth Leadership Summit, taking place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from April 3 to 5, 2025. The summit, themed “Unleashing the Power of Youth for a Prosperous Africa,” is set to focus on youth participation in peace and sustainable development efforts across the continent.
According to Libyan News Agency, the summit is organized by the African Union and aims to consolidate unity among African youth by addressing key issues, such as diplomacy and the role of youth in safeguarding African interests on an international scale. Minister Al-Zani plans to highlight Libya’s “Return to Life Plan,” a youth empowerment initiative that supports involvement in decision-making, a testament to the commitment of the Government of National Unity.
During the summit, Al-Zani will engage in bilateral meetings with youth leaders from various parts of Africa. These meetings aim to enhance networking, promote joint action, and facilitate the exchange of experiences among youth leaders and councils across the continent.
