Khoury Engages with Tarhuna Municipality for National Reconciliation Efforts

Tarhuna: The UN Special Representative for Political Affairs in Libya, Stephanie Khoury, visited Tarhuna Municipality on Wednesday, holding several meetings with key local figures, including Mayor Mohammed Al-Kasher and Member of Parliament Sabah Jumaa.

According to Libyan News Agency, this visit was part of Khoury's ongoing efforts to monitor the latest political and social developments in Libya. Her agenda included listening to the opinions and suggestions of Tarhuna's residents, aiming to bolster national consensus and promote reconciliation among Libyans.

The municipality office orchestrated crucial meetings with the city's sheikhs, notables, and local mukhtars. These discussions focused on the citizens' priorities and aspirations. Notably, Khoury held a dedicated session with the city's women to gather their opinions and suggestions, acknowledging their vital role in societal development.

Additionally, Khoury engaged with the youth of Tarhuna, recognizing them as a key segment of society. Their feedback on supporting stability and fostering community development was actively sought, highlighting their importance in shaping the future of the region.
