Tripoli: The Deputy Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Khoury, conducted an expanded meeting with the mayor and members of the Bani Walid Municipal Council. This assembly was attended by the Social Council of the Bani Walid and Werfella Tribes, along with university faculty, and political and human rights activists in the city.

According to Libyan News Agency, the discussion focused on the city's internal affairs and pressing needs. The future of the political process and the outcomes of the Advisory Committee were also key topics of discussion during the meeting.

Khoury plans to extend her visit in Bani Walid by engaging with members of the municipal councils in Bani Walid, Mardum, and Tatanai. Additionally, she will meet with women's and youth activists and visit Bani Walid University to engage with the university council and explore some of the city's landmarks.
