Algiers: Member of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Barghouthi, participated yesterday, Saturday, in the meeting of the Palestine Committee, as part of the 38th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, held in the Algerian capital, Algiers. The meeting began with the election of the committee’s chairman and rapporteur, with MP Hassan Al-Barghouthi elected as the committee’s rapporteur.
According to Libyan News Agency, the committee discussed urgent action to support the Gaza Strip, in addition to discussing a number of proposals, including the establishment of a permanent committee called the Palestine Committee in all Arab parliaments.
During the meeting, the committee announced its rejection of attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people from their land and called on Arab governments to provide support and assistance to them in the face of the difficult circumstances they are experiencing.
