Antalya: On the sidelines of the Antalya Forum, Hanna Tetteh discusses the political process in Libya with the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia. The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) engaged in a series of high-level bilateral meetings with key partners and regional actors at the Fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum.
According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh’s meetings with the foreign ministers of Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia were focused on reactivating the mechanism to facilitate communication among neighboring countries most affected by developments in Libya. This initiative underscores the importance of collaboration among North African countries in addressing the political challenges facing Libya.
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations’ commitment to supporting a comprehensive Libyan political process. This process emphasizes Libyan unity and national ownership, aiming to foster stability and cooperation in the region.
