German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock emphasized the need to prevent another war from erupting in the Middle East."We must not slide into another war, but we must do everything we can to de-escalate, especially in view of the situation in Lebanon right now," Baerbock said on the sidelines of the UN General Debate in New York.Reports of civilians being killed in Lebanon, including children and employees of the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), as a result of Israeli aggression made it clear that "we need de-escalation from all sides right now," Baerbock added.With regards to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the German Foreign Minister appealed to China to contribute to a peace solution.Source: Qatar News Agency
