Family Affairs Council to Hold Forum Focusing on Family Counseling

The Family Affairs Council will hold here the seventh edition of the Family Forum under the title "Family counseling: Building power from within in a changing world".Taking place on September 1-2 in Riyadh, the forum will be held under the patronage of Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Family Affairs Council Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi.The event will shed light on the topic of family counseling, one of the most important preventive and developmental means to help families overcome challenges and achieve a better balance in light of the rapid changes.It also aims to raise community awareness about the importance of family counseling, increase cooperation on the issue among public, private and non-profit sectors, and provide a space for the exchange of local and international expertise in this regard.Secretary-General of the Family Affairs Council Dr. Maimoonah Al Khalil said that the council focuses on raising awareness about family counseling, important in these times of changes, and that the forum will provide knowledge and practical experiences targeting family members, specialists, and decision makers.She stressed that the council seeks to enable family stability and have societal and developmental impact, in line with the Vision 2030 objectives.Source: Saudi Press Agency
