Dr. Abu Lahoum & Electricity Corporation Director review final phase of renewable energy project in Hodeida

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister of Finance - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hodeida Support and Development Fund, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, and the General Electricity Corporation Director, Dr. Hashim Al-Shami, reviewed the level of solar power plant implementation in the national renewable energy project (first and second phases) in Hodeida.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance confirmed that the national project for renewable energy comes as an embodiment of the vision of the Revolution Leader and the directives of the Supreme Political Council President, by providing basic services to citizens and developing the infrastructure in electricity generation through renewable energy sources.

He praised the complementary roles between the Fund, the Ministry of Electricity and the General Electricity Corporation, expressing his thanks to those in charge of it who interacted with the project from the first moment of launching work on it and directly contributed to its success.

For his part, Dr. Al-Shami considered the project the first transformation and a practical step towards generating electricity by solar energy, and a new success added to the record of achievements , projects of Hodeida Support and Development Fund.

It is noteworthy that the operation of the station and the export of energy will begin in the first week of next September, gradually, according to the technical plan specified for that, with the continuity of work in the third phase, which will raise the production of the solar power station to 30 megawatts.
