A meeting in Sana'a Province, chaired by the province's Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Saleh Almontaser, discussed the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) emergency interventions in the province.The meeting, which included Undersecretary for Services Sector - Vice Chairman of the Emergency Committee Fares Al-Kahali, Province Counselor Abdullah Al-Murtada, UNOPS Project Officer Khalid Basalama, and directors of relevant offices, reviewed the opportunities that the province could receive from UNOPS projects in a number of sectors.They discussed the possibility of UNICEF funding for a emergency projects' matrix to be implemented to drain rainwater , rehabilitate a number of roads, caravans and improvement projects in the province's directorates.At the meeting, the province's deputy governors, Al-montaser and Al-Kahali, emphasized the local authority's keenness to implement projects that meet the urgent needs of citizens in the water, sanitation and roads sectors.They expressed hope to translate the United Nations Office for Project Services' efforts into reality to finance the necessary projects that are prioritized to address the existing challenges in a number of sectors, including the water and sanitation sector, roads, hygiene and improvement services.Source: Yemen News Agency
