A meeting chaired by the Culture and TourismMinister Dr. Ali Al-Yafei discussed issues related to the handicrafts support project, which the ministry intends to implement with a number of partners in the private sector.The meeting, which included the Executive Director of the Tourism Promotion Council, Jarallah Fadel, the Acting Director of the Cultural Heritage and Development Fund, Ibrahim Al-Moshki, a number of leaders and specialists at the Ministry, reviewed a number of proposals submitted by specialists on the project, including its various fields.The Minister reiterated the importance of the project in developing and protecting crafts and handicrafts, making them an income-generating source, contributing directly and effectively to the development of cultural work, upgrading the national economy and creating job opportunities for young people in various craft fields.After that, the meeting reviewed the first phase implementation of the leather and onyx industries project and emphasized the impor tance of its development and utilization of its revenues in the development process.Source: Yemen News Agency
