The Director of Ali Al-Ruwaie Hospital for Mental Illness and Addiction Treatment in Benghazi, Dr. Faraj Al-Mahdawi, appealed to officials to intervene urgently to provide the necessary medications, warning of an imminent health crisis that could negatively affect patients and society.This came during a statement he made to Al-Anbaa Al-Libiyya newspaper today, Wednesday, in which he explained that the hospital provides its services to more than (250) patients, and receives tens of thousands of visitors throughout the year.Al-Mahdawi warned that the current stock of medications is only enough for two weeks, and that the hospital consumes more than (900) pills daily.At the end of his statement, he expressed his concern that the shortage of medicines could lead to a worsening of the health conditions of patients residing in and visiting the hospital, which requires rapid intervention to avoid a health crisis that would affect patients, their families and society in general.Source: Libyan News Agency
