Tripoli: The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense, Abdelhamid Dbaiba, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Abdul Salam Al-Zoubi, conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the First Border Sector. This sector is part of the Border Guard and Vital Installations Command and is located in the historic Al-Sadadah Castle. The purpose of the visit was to monitor operations and assess the readiness of the force to carry out its duties.
According to Libyan News Agency, during the visit, the sector commander and several officers presented the Prime Minister with a detailed report on the sector’s achievements over the past three years. The report highlighted progress in securing the borders, combating smuggling and irregular migration, and efforts to support stability in border regions.
In his remarks, Dbaiba emphasized the vital role played by the sector and commended the field efforts of its personnel. He also stressed the need to raise the level of preparedne
ss and provide the necessary logistical and technical needs to enhance performance. Dbaiba noted the government’s full support for all units tasked with securing the borders and the continued work to develop their capabilities to ensure they perform their duties with high efficiency.
