The Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, met today at the Ministry of Culture's headquarters in Diriyah with the Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Chang Hua.At the outset of the meeting, the minister of culture welcomed the Chinese ambassador, congratulating him on his appointment as his country's ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He expressed his hope that the meeting would strengthen cultural relations between the two friendly countries and thanked the People's Republic of China for choosing the Kingdom as the guest of honor at the Beijing International Book Fair last June.Prince Badr commended the accomplishments of his visit to the People's Republic of China in March, during which a memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation was signed between the Saudi Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism.Source: Saudi Press Agency
