Tripoli: Brigade 444 - Combat announced a significant breakthrough in their operations as they successfully arrested an international criminal of Ghanaian nationality. The arrest was made by one of the brigade's military units on Sunday evening, marking a major development in the fight against international crime.
According to Libyan News Agency, the arrested individual, known by the name Saeed and nicknamed "Biki," is a resident of Libya and possesses Ghanaian citizenship. He is considered one of the most dangerous foreign criminals with an international warrant for his arrest. Saeed had been operating in Libya, where he exploited a large facility that housed migrant workers, turning it into a hub for criminal activities.
The brigade's official statement revealed that Saeed had kidnapped 11 women of different nationalities, forcing them into prostitution by threatening them, to generate illicit profits. The operation to arrest him and free the kidnapped women was set in motion following international reports about the abductions, prompting a detailed monitoring and investigation effort by Brigade 444 - Combat.
The unit's decisive action on Sunday evening led to the successful storming of Saeed's hideout, resulting in the liberation of the women and the capture of the suspect. Following his arrest, Saeed will undergo investigation and be referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal proceedings.
