Rabat - Brazil aims to elevate its relations with Morocco, an important commercial partner for the country, to higher levels, emphasized Brazilian Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco on Monday during an official visit to Rabat."Morocco is an important commercial partner for Brazil, and we aspire to raise our bilateral relations to higher levels, particularly in the agro-food and green economy sectors," said Pacheco told the press following talks with Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita."Morocco and Brazil share the same climate challenges, and it is up to both nations to explore means to address them and engage in discussions on environmental issues," noted Pacheco, adding that he had extended an invitation to Moroccan officials to attend the COP 30 Summit, scheduled for 2025 in the Brazilian state of Pará in the Amazon region.The Brazilian official also welcomed the resumption of the direct Casablanca-São Paulo flight starting in December 202 4, highlighting that the return of this route will strengthen integration between the two countries and increase the number of tourists traveling in both directions.Trade between Morocco and Brazil, which is among Morocco's top ten commercial partners, reached 2.65 billion dollars in 2023 and amounted to 627 million dollars by the end of April 2024.Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
