Ben Ghalbon Takes Over as Minister of Local Government in Tripoli

Tripoli: Ben Ghalbon has officially assumed his role as Minister of Local Government, taking over from Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi. The transition occurred on Wednesday, with a formal handover ceremony at the Ministry headquarters in Tripoli. The event was attended by the handover committee, several department and office directors within the Ministry, and mayors.According to Libyan News Agency, Mohammed Bin Al-Ghalboun, who is also the Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs, has taken on the responsibilities as Acting Minister of Local Government. Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi, the previous minister, has been appointed by the Presidential Council as Deputy Head of the General Intelligence Service for Public Affairs and External Communication.In his address, Mohammed Bin Al-Ghalboun emphasized his dedication to advancing the local administration system. He plans to work collaboratively with all administrative and technical units to enhance and improve the quality of local services, aiming to meet the needs and aspirations of citizens across the country. He also expressed gratitude to Abdul-Shafi Al-Juwaifi for his significant contributions and achievements during his tenure, wishing him success in his new position.
