Al-Tarabulsi and Orlando Discuss Security Cooperation Between Libya and European Union


Tripoli: The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Imad Al-Tarabulsi, had a meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicola Orlando, to discuss ways to enhance coordination and cooperation in the security domain. This meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership between Libya and the European Union, focusing on joint efforts in security matters.



According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Interior disclosed that the discussions included several crucial security issues, with a particular focus on illegal immigration. The dialogue centered on enhancing coordination between the Libyan Ministry of Interior and European authorities to control and regulate migration flows and to dismantle illegal networks.



Al-Tarabulsi highlighted the importance of establishing an effective partnership with international partners to bolster stability and security. He emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to developing communication channels and maintaining continuous coordination with the European Union to support joint security cooperation programs.
