Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, affirmed that Libya will remain an open space for all initiatives aimed at supporting youth and promoting volunteer work. This statement was made during his participation in the meetings of the Arab Scout Committee, which included representatives from the Arab Scout Organization, officials from the operational framework, and the Maghreb Scout Union.
According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Menfi emphasized that scouting is not merely a traditional youth activity but a strategic pillar for cultivating values and building character. He acknowledged the efforts made in supporting and developing the scouting movement within Libya and across the Arab world. Al-Menfi highlighted that the scouting movement serves as a comprehensive educational platform that instills principles of discipline and responsibility, fostering a culture of initiative and community service. This contributes to preparing generations capable of facing challenges with a positive spirit and advanced awareness.
Al-Menfi also noted that the world is undergoing rapid transformations and facing increasing challenges, which heightens the necessity of reinforcing the values of the Scout Movement, such as peace, teamwork, and respect for human diversity. He underscored that investing in people remains the most effective strategy for building a sustainable future. Additionally, Al-Menfi stressed the importance of expanding regional and international cooperation and strengthening partnerships that contribute to human development, viewing it as the cornerstone of national progress and advancement.
