Tripoli: The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, met with the Head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, to review Libya's financial situation, focusing on revenues and expenditures. This meeting took place during Al-Menfi's visit to the Audit Bureau headquarters, where he examined the Bureau's operational mechanisms and oversight procedures.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed the Audit Bureau's oversight role, challenges in fulfilling its duties, and efforts to combat corruption. It also focused on establishing good governance and ensuring effective oversight and sound management of public resources.
During the visit, Al-Menfi commended the efforts of the Audit Bureau's staff, particularly its recent report. He emphasized the importance of continuing diligent institutional work to enhance transparency, solidify integrity principles, and ensure comprehensive oversight of the sectors subject to audit.
