Yefren: Minister of Social Affairs, Wafa Al-Kilani, met yesterday with the Mayor of Yefren to discuss mechanisms for strengthening joint coordination and monitoring social issues within the municipality.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting was attended by several members of the municipal council and the head of the municipality's social affairs branch. The discussions focused on supporting social protection programs and activating the role of social affairs branches to enhance service levels for citizens and ensure accessibility for targeted groups.

The meeting also addressed the humanitarian and social needs within the municipality and explored mechanisms for addressing these needs in collaboration with relevant authorities. Al-Kilani emphasized the Ministry's commitment to building partnerships with municipalities, highlighting their role as essential partners in implementing social welfare programs. She underscored the importance of joint efforts to support vulnerable families and groups, aiming for social stability across various regions.

The mayor of Yefren expressed appreciation for the ministry's efforts and its programs supporting deserving families. He commended the ministry's humanitarian initiatives aimed at promoting social solidarity and expanding the scope of social protection and care services.
