The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Medical Centers Affairs, Tawfiq Al-Darsi, met with the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Shinmmura Izuru.According to the Facebook page of the Ministry today, the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of scientific research and the establishment of a specialized center to study the genetic and hereditary factors of diseases.A joint memorandum of understanding was also prepared for training, equipment maintenance, the exchange of expertise between the two countries, and enhancing cooperation with Japanese pharmaceutical companies.The Japanese ambassador stated that scholarships will be provided to Libyan doctors, which will be announced soon.Source: Libyan News Agency
