Tripoli: The Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held discussions with Marcel de Vink, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and Joost Klarenbeek, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Libya. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Libya and the Netherlands.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the talks aimed at strengthening the existing partnership and expanding bilateral cooperation in several areas of mutual interest. These areas include political, economic, and developmental cooperation, along with efforts to support stability in Libya.
The discussions also covered key issues such as the removal of sanctions on Libyan airlines, capacity-building in human rights, justice, and international relations, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Additionally, the talks focused on efforts to achieve a ceasefire.
Both sides emphasized the need for ongoing coordination and consultation on regional and international matters of shared interest, with the goal of benefiting both nations.
