Al-Azhar has strongly condemned the extremist statements made by an Israeli official to build a Jewish synagogue at Al-Aqsa Mosque. Al-Azhar underscored in a statement that these incendiary remarks could only stem from an extremist ideology that ignores the beliefs of others, international laws, and agreements and only respects violence, lawlessness, and wrongdoing.Al-Azhar urged the Islamic countries' governments to take strong and decisive actions against these irresponsible and repeated statements from this and other extremist figures who consistently provoke violence and terrorism against innocent Palestinians and seek to stop these criminal statements and terrorist activities.Source: Saudi Press Agency
