Abidjan: Al-Ahli Tripoli Sport Club emerged victorious in the 2025 Road to BAL West Division Elite 16 qualifiers, clinching the championship after a hard-fought final against Stade Malien. The match took place in the "Trichteville" Hall in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, where Al-Ahli demonstrated their prowess on the court.According to Libyan News Agency, Al-Ahli Tripoli took control early in the game, dominating the first quarter with a significant 14-point lead, finishing with a score of 16/30. Their dominance persisted into the second quarter, ending with a score of 22/24, which brought the first half to a close at 38/54 in favor of the Libyan team.As the second half commenced, Stade Malien showed resilience, winning the third quarter with a score of 11/16 and continuing their momentum into the fourth quarter with a score of 6/14. However, despite their efforts, Al-Ahli Tripoli maintained their lead, concluding the match with a narrow victory of 68/71. This triumph marks a historic achievement for Libyan bask etball, as it is the first time Al-Ahli Tripoli has been crowned champions of the Western Division qualifiers for Africa.
