Al-Ahli Sana'a Club won the elite championship for the provincial champions in karate for the junior, youth, and men's categories, organized by the General Federation of Karate.Al-Ahli won the championship by winning five gold, two silver and one bronze medals, and in second place was the 22 May Club with four gold, two silver and four bronze medals.In third place came Sha'ab Ibb Club with four silver medals, three bronze medals, and the third place bis Shabab Al-Jeel with a silver medal and three bronze medals.Under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Ministry and with the support Youth and Sports Welfare Fund, 45 players from six clubs participated in the three-day tournament, including Ahli Sana'a, Shabab Al-Jeel, Sha'ab Ibb, 22 May, Al-Fath Al-Mahwit, Ahli Al-Hodeida in the junior, youth and men's categories.Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth for the Sports Sector Ali Hadban emphasized the support and care for youth and the sports sector's interest in sports games.For his part, the Sec retary General of the Olympic Committee, Mohammed Al-Ahjari, pointed out the importance of local tournaments in screening players and selecting elite stars to support the national teams, stressing the need to involve teams in all Yemeni provinces, as sport is a message of peace and love.At the end, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary Hussein Al-Khoulani, Secretary General of the Karate Federation Mohammed Tareesh Hazza, Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the Capital, Abdullah Obaid, and Secretary General of the Sports for All Federation Essam Driban, the players were honored with gold, silver and bronze medals, the arbitration committee and the head of the karate branch in the capital, Tawfiq Al-Attab, were honored with certificates of appreciation.Source: Yemen News Agency
