Al-Qubba: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agila Saleh, met with the Greek Ambassador to Libya, Nikolaos Garilidis, and Consul General Agapios Kalognomis in Al-Qubba to deliberate on the political developments in Libya and to enhance bilateral ties between Libya and Greece.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on recent developments in Libya, particularly underscoring the critical need to advance presidential and parliamentary elections. These elections are seen as a cornerstone for bridging the political divide and unifying state institutions within the country. Both parties agreed on the necessity of establishing a unified government that would be capable of managing the electoral process nationwide.
The meeting also included the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulhadi Al-Hwaij, who represented the Libyan government. Al-Hwaij emphasized the significance of international and regional cooperation in fostering political stability in Libya, highlighting the collaborative efforts needed to support the nation’s journey towards unity and peace.
