Aboul Gheit and Al-Baour Discuss Libya’s Political Process in Cairo

Cairo: Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, met with Taher Al-Baour, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, to discuss the situation in Libya and efforts to advance its political process. During this meeting, Aboul Gheit reiterated the League's readiness to support Libyans in finding solutions that emphasize Libyan ownership and leadership.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting, held in Cairo, involved discussions on both regional and international efforts to support Libya's political journey. Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Secretary-General, stated that Aboul Gheit listened to Al-Baour's presentation on the Libyan government's vision for the country's future. The Libyan government expressed its commitment to the Arab League's active involvement in contributing to Libya's unity and stability.
