Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior conducted inspection campaigns in the Kingdom between November 07 to November 13 to ensure compliance with residency, labor, and border security laws.According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspections yielded significant results, recording 20,124 violations across the Kingdom. These included 11,607 breaches of residency laws, 5,285 of border security, and 3,232 related to labor laws. The operation also intercepted 1,401 individuals attempting to cross into the Kingdom illegally; of these, 39% were Yemenis, 60% were Ethiopians, and 1% belonged to other nationalities. Additionally, 98 individuals were apprehended for attempting to leave the Kingdom unlawfully.The Ministry reported the arrest of six people who were involved in the transportation, sheltering, and employment of violators. Currently, 21,267 expatriates, comprising 18,508 men and 2,759 women, are undergoing procedures to enforce regulations. Among these, 13,354 individuals have been detained and instructed to coor dinate with their embassies or consulates to obtain appropriate travel documentation. Meanwhile, 3,096 were advised to arrange their departure bookings, and 10,458 have been repatriated.The Ministry of Interior issued a stern warning regarding the facilitation of illegal entry into the Kingdom. Individuals found guilty of such acts risk facing penalties of up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching SAR1 million. Furthermore, vehicles used for transportation or houses used for sheltering such individuals can be confiscated. The ministry emphasized the severity of these acts as major crimes warranting arrest and urged the public to report any violations by calling 911 in the Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 or 996 in other parts of the Kingdom.
