US-Algerian Talks Focus on Libyan Crisis and Regional Issues


Algiers: Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf met today with US Presidential Advisor for Africa, Arab Affairs, and the Middle East, Massad Boulos, to discuss a number of current issues in the Arab world, most notably the Libyan crisis. The meeting took place at the ministry headquarters in Algiers and included a comprehensive exchange of views.



According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions centered on prominent issues affecting the Arab world and the African continent. Key topics included developments in Libya, the Sahel and Sahara regions, and Western Sahara. Both parties underscored the importance of strengthening the strategic dialogue between Algeria and the United States.



The meeting also highlighted the necessity to maintain the positive momentum that characterizes the bilateral partnership, with particular emphasis on economic cooperation.
