Tripoli: The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has announced the launch of an online survey aimed at gathering citizens’ opinions on topics to be discussed in an upcoming structured dialogue. The mission seeks to engage Libyan voices in shaping the dialogue’s agenda.
According to Libyan News Agency, the survey will be open until November 22, and the feedback collected will be analyzed and included in a report for the structured dialogue. The mission aims to use this report to enrich the work program by incorporating the views and aspirations of Libyans.
Hanna Tetteh, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, emphasized the importance of including voices from across Libya to ensure the dialogue addresses issues relevant to the citizens. She stated that the initiative would ground the structured dialogue in reality by considering the input from both Libyans residing within the country and those abroad, aiming to address their daily challenges and hopes for a better future.
UNSMIL highlighted that this survey initiative is designed to broaden participation, especially for those unable to attend the live online dialogue session held on October 27 with Stephanie Khoury, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General.
