U.S. Companies Highlight Libya’s Energy Sector Potential at 2025 Summit


Tripoli: Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, emphasized the significant role of U.S. companies at the 3rd session of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit 2025. Berndt noted that their strong presence underscores the importance of Libya’s energy sector in the global market and its potential for growth.

According to Libyan News Agency, Berndt expressed his views in a tweet, where he extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dabaiba and Acting Minister of Oil Khalifa Abdusadek. He acknowledged their engagement with him and U.S. companies at the U.S. pavilion during the summit held in Tripoli.

Berndt highlighted that a range of U.S. firms are already providing significant technical expertise to benefit the Libyan energy sector. He stated that the possibilities for further partnerships are extensive. The U.S. embassy is committed to bolstering the U.S. private sector to enhance the economic partnership between the two countries.
