Tripoli: Tripoli Security Director Khalil Wahiba met with the Head of the General Authority for Media Content Monitoring, Jalal Othman, to discuss mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between the Tripoli Security Directorate and the General Authority for Media Content Monitoring on several issues of mutual interest.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting addressed the importance of unifying efforts in monitoring media content circulating through media outlets and social media platforms. The discussions focused on countering rumors and misleading news that could affect security and stability, as well as supporting targeted awareness messages and promoting responsible journalism.

Both parties emphasized the importance of exchanging information and expertise, and working to develop media communication mechanisms to contribute to conveying facts to the public with professionalism and transparency. They also discussed supporting awareness programs aimed at raising community awareness and strengthening trust between citizens and security institutions.
