Mogadishu: Three leaders from the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab group were killed in a military operation conducted by the Somali army in the south-central part of Somalia.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Somali National Army conducted an operation in collaboration with the National Intelligence and Security Agency and international partners. The operation took place in the Hiiraan region and eliminated three leaders from the group as well as injured a number of its leaders and members.
