Tripoli: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Hanna Tetteh, expressed her pleasure at participating in a meeting with a number of women involved in the structured dialogue, representatives of civil society, elected officials, and international partners, to commemorate Libyan Women’s Day and celebrate Libyan women.
According to Libyan News Agency, Tetteh emphasized the importance of Libyan women in overcoming challenges and contributing to the construction of a nation characterized by peace and prosperity. In a post published on the UN mission in Libya’s social media account, she noted the ongoing efforts of Libyan women to strengthen societal unity and stability.
Tetteh stated, “My message was clear: Libyan women are a fundamental element in strengthening the unity and stability of Libyan society and making it more just. On the occasion of Libyan Women’s Day, I extend my best wishes to all women across the country.”
