Tripoli: The UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, engaged in discussions with Presidential Council Member Abdullah Al-Lafi regarding the security landscape across Libya. The talks included exploring avenues to enhance stability both in the capital, Tripoli, and other regions.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions also focused on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya's (UNSMIL) initiatives to promote the political roadmap. This includes the proposed structured dialogue aimed at addressing reconciliation efforts. Al-Lafi expressed gratitude for UNSMIL's role in stabilizing security in Tripoli and its continued efforts to advance the political process. He reiterated his support for UNSMIL's mandate in Libya.
