A meeting at the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Sana'a discussed the progress of humanitarian and relief work in Sana'a, its urgent needs and the challenges it faces.
The meeting, which included the head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Municipality of the Capital, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, and the director of the council branch, Abdullah Muhammad Al-Nami, reviewed the extent of the human suffering experienced by thousands of displaced, poor, and affected families in the capital Sana'a as a result of the aggression and the siege and its repercussions for nine years.
He touched on the challenges and the large and growing need for humanitarian aid and expanding the map of interventions and providing aid to include more of the poorest and most affected families in Sana'a districts, thus contributing to alleviating their suffering and improving humanitarian work.
The head of Social Affairs Committee and the director of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Sana'a warned against reducing food and humanitarian aid, which will exacerbate the suffering of thousands of beneficiaries, affected and displaced people in light of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation as a result of the continuation of the aggression.
They stressed the need to improve the humanitarian situation and increase the volume of funds and relief and humanitarian aid that will contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people caused by the aggression coalition.
