Beirut: Prime Minister Nawaf Salam wrote today on his “X” platform account: “I contacted President Mahmoud Abbas to congratulate him on the major diplomatic achievement by the United Nations General Assembly with its unprecedented majority adoption of the ‘New York Declaration’, which not only endorses the two-state solution but also links its implementation to specific timelines.”

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Salam added, “I also contacted officials in both Saudi Arabia and France to thank them for sponsoring this ‘Declaration’ and for the joint efforts they made to achieve this result and increase recognition of the State of Palestine.”
