Tripoli: The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, convened an extensive meeting today with key officials, including the Minister of Labor and Civil Service, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and relevant committees from both ministries. The focus of the meeting was to address the implementation of the Authority's Circular No. (1) of 2025, which pertains to the suspension of hiring and contracting in public agencies, and to identify ongoing challenges and obstacles.
According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting delved into potential solutions for past procedural issues, examining data on employee releases logged in the system. Of the approximately 210,000 employees reviewed, 94,775 had been released, and the procedures for another 92,182 were verified. Qaderbouh authorized the forwarding of their files to the Council of Ministers to secure the necessary financial resources.
Qaderbouh highlighted the importance of resolving the backlog of previous appointments, stressing that employees should not bear the consequences of administrative mistakes, especially when stable legal positions have been established.
During the session, the Authority Chairman announced the drafting of Circular No. (2) of 2025, which aims to lift employment restrictions, contingent on strict adherence to approved legal guidelines and procedures.
