Tripoli: The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has affirmed Libya's sovereign rights over the resources of the Eastern Mediterranean within its maritime borders. The NOC is committed to implementing exploration programs to protect Libya's national interests in exploring and developing hydrocarbon resources, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean.

According to Libyan News Agency, the NOC released a statement emphasizing that in light of recent developments concerning maritime borders and energy cooperation in the region, all agreements and partnerships concluded by the Libyan state adhere to the principles of international law. These agreements are designed to serve the long-term strategic interests of the Libyan people.
