Mnifi Assesses Security in Tripoli and Western Region


Tripoli: The Chairman of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Mnifi, convened a comprehensive meeting to evaluate the security situation in the western region, particularly focusing on the capital, Tripoli. The session included participation from the Truce Follow-up Committee.



According to Libyan News Agency, the Presidential Council’s media office confirmed that the meeting was attended by several key military leaders, including the Chief of General Staff, the Chiefs of Staff of the Specialized Forces, and commanders from the Tripoli, West Coast, and Central Military Regions. The discussions centered on the commitment of involved parties to the ceasefire terms and their immediate return to their original positions, aligning with the existing security agreements.



Al-Mnifi emphasized the need for precise and transparent implementation of the truce phases. He urged for a swift resolution to the challenges faced by the committee, which is crucial for maintaining calm and fostering a reassuring environment in Tripoli, a city that serves as a unifying home for all Libyans.
